Amos Green Farm
This acquisition protects, in perpetuity, a large part of the 1750 Amos Green Farm for conservation,
open space, agriculture, and passive recreational purposes.
With help from the Town of Charlestown,
the RI Agricultural Land Preservation Commission, the Nature Conservancy, and generous donations from
the Fenner and Ricci families we have created a green connection
from the 800 acre Carter Preserve, across the Carolina Back Road through the Amos Green lands to
Sand Plain Road. An exciting greenway for Charlestown!
Directions: Please remember that visitation is by scheduled walks only. Amos Green Farm is located off of
Route 112 (Carolina Back Rd.) From U.S. Route 1, proceed North on Route 2 , take left onto Route 112 and
follow signs to the Carter Preserve on left hand side. Park in Carter Preserve lot and follow signs.
